Spring Epistrophe
Epistrophe eligans
This species is generally observed during spring. The amount of yellow striping on its abdomen can vary significantly, with some specimens, especially males, appearing almost entirely black; nevertheless, the overall pattern tends to be consistent. It prefers warm, sunny conditions and is frequently found along woodland paths on hedgerows.
