Slime Mould

Physarum bivalve

The plasmodiocarps of this organism—its white, elongated, sessile fruiting bodies formed when the plasmodium condenses and solidifies—are notably laterally compressed. They measure approximately 1 mm in height and can reach lengths of up to 20 mm. Thank you to Professor Bruce Ing for confirming this identification as correct.
