Wildflower Meadow

The extended dry heat and high temperatures contributed to significant wildfires in several parts of the country. The browner than normal meadows are particularly vulnerable in dry weather. It is estimated that about 90% of all wildfires are started by human activity. Some of the contributing factors include barbecues, discarded cigarettes, fireworks, and glass or plastic bottles left in direct sunlight.
