Kestrel
Falco tinnunculus
The Kestrel is recognised for its capability to hover almost motionlessly in the air while monitoring the ground for small rodents, lizards, and large insects. It has narrow, pointed wings characteristic of small falcons and a long, slender tail. The pale buff underparts and flight feathers are marked by distinct dark spots and streaks.
