A few items made from Fairlop Oak timber are presented here. The small round box is inscribed with "A gift of Mr Peel to Mr Hemingway 1834. Cut out of the old Oak." Mr Hemingway may have been a singer who accompanied the Fairlop Frigate to Fairlop Fair, as his name appears on song sheets distributed at that time. The small pedestal table created by B. Oldacre is owned by a private collector. The inscription on the column reads "Warranted the Celebrated Fairlop Oak." The tea caddy is part of the Essex Field Club Collection.
