Pineappleweed

Matricaria discoidea

Pineappleweed shows a preference for disturbed ground.  It has feathery leaves and yellow flower heads that appear from May to November. It is a composite flower, with the flower-head made up of lots of individual blooms. There are no 'ray florets'. When crushed, the plant releases an aroma similar to that of pineapple.
