Snake's Head Fritillary
Fritillaria meleagris
The Snake's-head fritillary is a spring flower, once common in meadows but is now rarely seen and classified as vulnerable. The flowers, which have a nodding bell shape, droop on thin stems that feature narrow, grey-green leaves. The plants grow to a height up to 30 cm.
