Blister Gall
Taphrina populina
The fungus Taphrina populina induces the formation of galls on the leaves of Black Poplars and their hybrids. These galls appear as raised bulges on the upper surface of the leaves, concave on the underside, and are lined with bright orange or yellow upright asci.
