The footpath near the Global Café closed with the only alternative route requiring a much longer walk to the lake - not very helpful to those with disabilities! Sidney Parker, 85, visited the lake daily to feed the swans and ducks for over 25 years even in inclement weather. This became a problem because he could barely walk even with the aid of two sticks.
