Brown China-mark

Elophila nymphaeata

This species is occasionally observed near Hainault Lake from June to August. 'China-mark' larvae are distinctive among moths as they are fully aquatic. The larvae feed on aquatic plants and can sometimes be found living in cases on floating leaves.
