Egyptian Goose
Alopochen aegyptiaca
Egyptian geese are known for being protective parents. Unlike many other bird species, their young often forage for themselves soon after hatching, and they may left alone for short periods. The primary role of the parents is to provide guidance and protection rather than direct feeding. Both parents will actively chase away any potential threats or intruders and can be very noisy at times!
