Bar-headed Goose

Anser indicus

The Bar-headed Goose is a species from Central Asia recognised for its ability to fly at high altitudes, allowing it to migrate over the Himalayas. In the UK, it is considered a rare non-native visitor, sometimes seen near bodies of water or in mixed groups with other geese. Debi photographed this bird at Fairlop Waters.
