Bluebell
Hyacinthoides non-scripta
The Bluebell is a short, bulbous perennial that produces groups of narrow keeled leaves and a single long leafless spike of bright-blue bell-shaped flowers measuring 15 to 20 mm, with creamy anthers. Bluebells are usually found carpeting the ground from April to June in the ancient woodland part of Hainault Forest near Lambourne End.
