Harlequin Ladybird

Harmonia axyridis

The Harlequin Ladybird has many forms. While this specimen may appear similar to the 22-spot Ladybird at first glance, there are distinct differences. The Harlequin is larger, has a duller colouration, and primarily feeds on aphids. In contrast, the 22-spot Ladybird is smaller, bright yellow and feeds on fungi and mildew.
