"Dear E, I hope you had a ripping time last Saturday. The journey was lovely though very tiresome. This is a lovely place don't want to see Cornwall yet and going to spend a whole day in E London next week. The houses and roads here are all so much alike that I don't really know our road until we get to the gate. There are trees everywhere and brick houses with red tiled roofs, and not one bit of stone hedge to be found. I will write you a letter in a day or two and send the address, Love A."
