Early Bumblebee 

Bombus pratorum

The Early Bumblebee is a small bumblebee characterised by its yellow and black bands and an orange tail. It often visits flowers of soft fruit, contributing significantly to their pollination. This species typically nests underground in the abandoned nests of mice or voles. The nest is relatively small, typically containing fewer than 100 workers.
