HISTORY OF ILFORD
Cranbrook Road Baptist Church opened in 1899. It was built on a site purchased eight years before by the High Road Baptists and afterwards conveyed to the London Baptist Association. The church was formally constituted in 1900 and a Sunday school hall opened six years later. The hall was damaged by incendiary bombs during the Second World War. The Church was demolished and replaced by another in Wellesley Road.
